Registration is open to all clinicians who have completed any part of an EMDRIA
approved basic EMDR training.
Registrations will be accepted at the door; however, lunch
will only be provided for fully-paid registrations received
on or before Saturday, March 27. Lunches for later registrants may be available if there
are enough.
To register in advance, please fill out your name and email address in the spaces
provided above (near the top of this column). Then select the presentations you
would like to attend and send a check (see instructions below). All
presentations will be in very large rooms and we do not expect to turn away any
registrants. In the unlikely event that the presentation of your choice is full, we
will notify you by email immediately.

CEU Credits: All presentations are approved for either 3 or 6
units of CA BBS CEU credits. Approval to offer 6 hours of EMDRIA CEU's has been
granted for Dr. Manfield's presentation. EMDRIA CEU credits are only needed for
those EMDRIA members who are "certified" (or are applying for certification) and
those who are "approved consultants." (Application for EMDRIA Credits has been
applied for and is under review for Phyllis Klaus' presentation. If and when approval is
granted, it will be posted immediately on this site. If it is granted for one
workshop and not the other, you may change your registration.)

The fee for Saturday is $45, covering both morning and
afternoon sessions and lunch (sandwich and drink). Optional CA BBSE CEU credit is
available for $5 per 3 hour session ($10 for the six hour session). Please make out a
separate check for presentations and (optionally) for CEU's. We anticipate that all

CEU's
CA BBS CEU’s will be
available for California MFT’s and Social Workers for a five dollar fee per course.
No CEU's will be available for M.D.'s or Psychologists. Each three hour session
meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for MFT's and
LCSW's as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the 6 hour session
meets the qualifications for 6 hours
of continuing education credit for MFT's and LCSW's as required by the California Board of
Behavioral Sciences. The courses are sponsored by Philip Manfield, whose provider number
is PCE 3429. Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund up until one week
prior to the event; after that date, no refunds will be given. If you register and pay for
a presentation and do not attend, your registration fee will be forfeited. A
description of each course can be found by clicking on the name of the presenter in the
right column of this page. Approval to provide EMDRIA credits has granted for Dr.
Manfield's presentation, but we may not know if approval is granted for Phyllis Klaus'
presentation until right before the meeting. If and when it is granted, it will be posted
on this site. Please do not write to inquire about EMDRIA credits. If you want CA
BBS CEU’s, please include a separate check made out to "Philip Manfield,
Ph.D." totaling five dollars per presentation for which you would like BBS
CEU’s. There is no charge for EMDRIA CEU's (see below).
Phil Manfield, Ph.D. maintains responsibility for this program and it's content in
accordance with EMDRIA standards.

become EMDR certified through EMDRIA.

Hotel Accomodations:
For people coming from out-of-town, the downtown Oakland
Marriott (510-451-4000) is four blocks from Preservation park and had rooms available the
last time we checked, and also at their Courtyard by Marriott across the street. The Best
Western University Inn on University Avenue in Berkeley (510-849-1121) is four and a half
miles from Preservation Park and costs around $100. It is not as new or nice as the
Marriott nor is it within walking distance, but it is clean and cheaper.
Parking
There has been a change this year from previous years. You
can now park in the garage directly across the street from the main gate of Preservation
Park, and there will be NO CHARGE. (We have paid the city to keep this garage open for us
on Saturday.) The lot in which we have parked in previous years is now a construction
site.) You can reach it from 11th Street or 12 Street. Make a left turn onto Jefferson
Street, and enter the lot from the enterance on Jefferson Street. Go to the other side of
the lot and park in any open spot (there are 200) including those that say "PERMIT
ONLY." Exit the Martin Luther King Jr.Way side of the lot, and cross diagonally to
Preservation Park.

Where:

and walking about 5 blocks north on 12th Street.
Preservation Park is
a cluster of 12 beautifully restored Victorian buildings. We will be meeting in the
Niles/Ginn building. Maps locating the buildings are located in various places around the
park, and you can see a PDF of the map by clicking on the link to it at the top of this
page.
This meeting is held in facilities which are in compliance
with the American Disabilities Act. Please notify the sponsor of this workshop and
Preservation Park if special accommodations are required.
Driving Directions:
Preservation Park is in downtown Oakland. at 13^th St. and
Martin Luther King Jr. Way. It is a few blocks south from the 12th street exit/entrance of
US 980 freeway, which is also CA 24. Assuming you are driving:
From Marin, SF, Livermore or Walnut
Creek, From Marin, you would take 580 to the East Bay and continue on 580 past the
Bay Bridge interchange. From SF you would cross the Bay Bridge and stay on 580 towards
Hayward. In either case you would then take the 980 offramp to Downtown Oakland, which
comes up right away on the right. From Walnut Creek, take US 980 freeway, which is also CA
24 through the Caldecott Tunnel past the intersection with 580. From Livermore, take
580 to the 980 offramp to Downtown Oakland, which comes up right. Then,
from all these directions, take your third exit or so is 12th street, and you need to go
left over the Freeway at your first opportunity. Martin Luthor King Jr is the second
street you come to on the other side of the Freeway, and the parking garage is right there
on MLK between 12th and 13th Street. Parking is free, even though there
may be a fee schedule (we have rented the whole garage.) (980 is also known as CA 24. In
the other direction, it is the one that goes through the tunnel to Walnut Creek)
From San Jose, take the freeway along the East side of the Bay to the to 980 which
goes in the Direction of Walnut Creek. Take the 12th St offramp, turn right on 12th
Street and then follow the instuctions above.
