EMDR and the Treatment of Phobias

 

Description: This presentation is designed for practicianers who have a firm grasp of the skills and techniques necessary to work with anxiety disorders, and in particular panic attacks and simple phoibias.

The presenter will discuss and interact with participants concerning ways in which he has used simple tools to enhance the EMDR protocols for simple and process phobias (in particular, panic attacks) with "in vivo" and imaginal procedures; videos of some of these processes will be shown.

Considerations of physical and secondary gain issues will be discussed.
